2nd Annual Winetasting Happy Hour Fundraiser

On Friday, October 22, the Brave Will Foundation will be hosting its 2nd Annual Winetasting Happy Hour at Panza’s on the Lake in Saratoga, NY from 5-8PM. The event will feature sampling of over twenty wines, hearty appetizers and desserts, live acoustic music from Kevin Green and Eddie Barbagelata (of 2096), a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a representative from Party of Gold will be there if you have any old gold to sell.

Tickets cost $25 in advance and can be purchased on our website. Tickets will cost $30 at the door. If you are attending the Blow Dry Bootcamp tonight (October 1st), you can also purchase tickets that event. All proceeds from the winetasting event will benefit the foundation and children battling life-threatening illnesses at Albany Medical Center and their families. Last week, the foundation donated $25,000 in support of Albany Medical Center’s newly created pediatric palliative care program (known as Journeys). We hope with fundraising events like this, we can continue to be strong supporters for a program we so strongly believe in.

We are looking forward to seeing our friends and supporters who continue to hold a special place in their hearts for Brave Will on October 22nd at Panza’s. See you then!

Brave Will Foundation Presents Donation to AMC

On Thursday, September 23, the Brave Will Foundation presented Albany Medical Center with a check for $25,000 to support the pediatric palliative care program, a newly-formed service at the hospital. The program provides staff and support for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. The donation that was made will provide the financial support needed to ensure adequate staffing and ongoing development of program and services in the area of pediatric palliative care. We are thrilled to see that the hospital has made so much progress in this area and we are honored to be part of such an often-overlooked, yet critical aspect of pediatric healthcare.

Thank you to Dr. Porter, Felicia Hunter, and especially Rob Saba for making the event so special for Tammy, Matt, and the rest of the foundation.

The donation presented on Thursday represented the efforts of friends, family, and hundreds of Brave Will’s followers. These people are the reason we keep going every day and every dollar of their donation is the result of the compassion and care they have shown. Many of the people probably didn’t even know what palliative care was, but they trusted us and our foundation. They trusted that their donation would lead to something special that would be done in Will’s name and that was all they needed to hear.

We thank them and we thank Albany Med for allowing the legacy of Willem Bernard Hladun, our Brave Will, to carry on in such a positive way.
