For the third year, the Burnt Hills-Ballston Spa varsity hockey is showing how they can make a difference in the lives of other children with its annual “Kids Helping Kids” fundraising effort. The team, which has been so supportive of our foundation, is again holding a “Dump and Change” fundraiser in all of its schools this Friday, as hockey team members will be collecting spare change from classmates throughout the district. The fundraising efforts will culminate on Friday, January 25th at the annual “Brave Will” game, which will be held at 7:30pm at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility Ice Rink. During the game, many gift baskets will be raffled off with all proceeds benefiting our foundation.
We are so grateful that the team has once again chosen to support our foundation. We are constantly amazed at the endless generosity we have received over the past three years from so many people, but it becomes even more powerful when we see how our children come together to help other kids who are battling and fighting unbelievable challenges every day. They should be proud of themselves for understanding the power of giving back to those that need their support.
